What You'll Do

An active role in public safety

As an Auxiliary Police Officer, you will play an active role in the safety and security of Middletown Township. Your responsibilities will include:

Crowd Management

Assist with maintaining order and safety at public events including parades, races, and demonstrations.

Traffic Control

Direct traffic at accident scenes, community events, and intersections with malfunctioning signals.

Patrol Duties

Patrol shopping centers, parks, and residential neighborhoods to ensure the safety of residents.

Emergency Support

Augment the Police Department during emergencies and natural disasters such as snowstorms, floods, and severe wind events, providing essential supplemental service to the community.

Crime Prevention

Serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and assist in active crime prevention efforts throughout the township.

Training

The Auxiliary Police Academy

All new Auxiliary Officers are required to attend and successfully complete the Auxiliary Police Academy. This comprehensive training program prepares you for real-world service and covers:
